What is a Reflexology?
Reflexology is the study of reflexes. Reflexology therapies are natural therapeutic methods derived from this study based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body.
In fact, there are over 7,200 nerve endings in each of the feet that are interconnected through the spinal cord and brain to all areas of the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes using specific hand and finger techniques, reflexology therapy can Relieve tension, Support the body's efforts to function optimally and Improve circulation. Reflexology is safe for all ages; from infants to seniors, everyone can benefit.

What to expect during a Reflexology Session?
Your session begins with filling out a brief health history, explanation on how Reflexology works and what will happen during a session, questions or concerns can be addressed. You will then be placed in a relaxing and comfortable position on your back on either on a zero-gravity chair or a massage table. Wearing loose clothing is recommended for your comfort. The treatment begins with some relaxation techniques to help warm up and relax the feet. The reflexology treatment lasts about 45 to 60 minutes. The session finishes with relaxation techniques & application of lotion upon request.
Because Reflexology can often stimulate the body to release stored toxins, make sure to drink lots of water after your
treatment to help your kidneys flush out any waste products.
How Can Reflexology Help You?
The body has the ability to heal itself. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, it is in a state of “imbalance” and vital body systems can be blocked, preventing the body from functioning optimally. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance (homeostasis) and facilitate healing. For each person, the application and the effect of the therapy are unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances and by working on these points helping your body function at its best!
